The Washington Beer Commission is proud to announce the beer list for the 5th Annual Belgianfest beer tasting festival at the Bell Harbor International Conference Center (Pier 66) on Seattle’s waterfront. The event will feature 42 Washington Breweries pouring more than 100 unique, innovative and delicious Belgian style, Washington brewed beers.

Belgianfest will have two sessions on Saturday, February 1, beginning with a Noon – 4:00pm session, and followed by 5:30pm – 9:30pm session on Saturday evening. The Bell Harbor International Conference Center is located at 2211 Alaskan Way, Pier 66, Seattle, WA 98121. Tickets are available now at Brown Paper Tickets and are $35 in advance or $40 at the door (per session). This event sold out the last four years and overall ticket sales to date are 55% sold!

Belgian style beer is perhaps the most unique of all of the beer styles. As you look over the list of Washington Breweries and their Belgian style names imagine beers with flavors of orange
zest, vanilla, toffee, cherries, chocolate, raspberries, citrus, apricot, or peppercorns, just to name a handful of the flavors infused in these amazing brews. This is a perfect way to get warmed up a day before the Seahawks take on Denver in the Super Bowl on Sunday!

This would be the perfect start to my yeast mode weekend.

I was turned onto craft beers last year and quickly set myself a goal…to drink my way across this wonderful state of ours. I’ve had beer from all over our area but scoring a pair of tickets to this event would help me further that goal along as so many of our states breweries are a bit of a drive from Kingston!

Die hard foodie who is very much in the process of “practicing” Washington micro brews and local wineries. Amazing stuff we have in our state. Absolutely would love to go to this to learn new and exciting breweries. :D

  4. Amber Wilson January 29, 2014 at 7:47 am #

For the love of beautiful, beautiful, Belgians! I would love to win these!

  5. Jeremy January 29, 2014 at 11:06 am #

Quite fond of brewery crawls and chocolately, full-bodied, oatmealy stouts. I am a huge supporter of the creative micro-breweries that are starting to pop up everywhere, and am committed to trying as many new brews as I can (my other favorite is habanero beers – weird I know). I’d love to have the opportunity to attend this event. Thanks!

My husband is obligated to watch The Bachelor with me every week. I think this would be a nice way to make it up to him. =)

Wow, what an incredible lineup of beers on tap. I love tasting uniquely brewed beers and learning more about the breweries. I never get tired of sampling new micros. Pair those up with tasty morsels of Sweet Iron Waffles, Dan’s Inferno Dogs and Taylor Shellfish and I’m salivating at the thought of being so lucky to win this experience.

I just started home-brewing and would love to attempt making a Belgian – this would be a perfect place to pair down the flavors that I enjoy.

  10. Pete Thompson January 30, 2014 at 2:28 pm #

…because it’s the only place you can speak Belgian.

  11. Jane January 30, 2014 at 2:41 pm #

Ever since I moved to Seattle I’ve been expanding my palate as much as I can (Bud Light is the drink of choice on Long Island and sadly was what I was exposed to for most of my drinking-age life). Please choose me and give me the opportunity to try dozens of local beers!

  14. Christina Anderson January 30, 2014 at 3:38 pm #

Beer fests are so fun. I always look forward to the one in Redmond but have yet to go to this one.

My boyfriend and I are both foodies at heart and love a good drink with our meal. He hates American style beer but loves everything Washington. This would be a great time to show him all of the wonderful breweries we have in this State and that they don’t only focus on American style. There are a number of breweries that I have never tried on this list and always looking for great new local specialties!

  19. Kathy January 30, 2014 at 5:36 pm #

This looks like a super fun event. My boyfriend try to go to a different brewery every weekend and he really loves the Belgians!!

  21. Aleta Storch January 30, 2014 at 7:10 pm #

I am in graduate school for holistic wellness and nutrition. After long weeks spent studying, and saying no to my friends inviting me to have some fun, a cold beer (or entire beer fest!) and some social interaction sounds like the most glorious opportunity in the world! And beer is my favorite nutrient. :)

  22. Michael Knight January 30, 2014 at 9:59 pm #

Would love the chance to attend this. I’m on a big Belgian beer kick, and those Sweet Iron Waffles are a perfect compliment. Just went for the first time the other day and the chocolate dipped brought back memories of wonderful drinking in Brussels.

  23. Wendy January 31, 2014 at 9:47 am #

Yahooo, what an awesome lineup of beers on tap. NOTHING beats uniquely brewed beers and learning more about the breweries. The drinking crew is looking foward to it!

  24. Lindsay Evans January 31, 2014 at 10:59 am #

Hoping I’m not too late here! Huge fan of beer festivals, bigger fan of Belgians, biggest fan of Washington craft beer and desperately seeking a fun way to kick up my heels and raise my glass after a crazy week! GO HAWKS!
