RAM Racing hosts the Hot Chocolate 15k/5k in Seattle on March 5, with a runner’s expo and race including merchandise, hot chocolate, fondue, and fun for the whole family.
The Hot Chocolate Series, dubbed “America’s Sweetest Race” is coming to Seattle for the 5th year in a row at the Seattle Center. The 5k course will run along local streets around the Center, while the 15k will run the same course as the 5k, and continue North up Aurora Ave to 46th St, and back down to the Seattle Center.
“This is our fifth year hosting the Hot Chocolate 15k/5k in Seattle, and we expect a big turnout. We had a successful race last year and we are looking forward to another great year” says Joel Griesbach, Race Director. Registration is open for the race on the Hot Chocolate 15k/5k website.
The weekend will begin with a runner’s expo on Friday and Saturday where runners will pick up their race packets and award winning goodie bags that include a fleece lined Hot Chocolate 15k/5k running zip-up. The expo also includes music, Hot Chocolate 15k/5k merchandise, running merchandise from retail partners, a Kids’ Zone with bounce houses and games, chocolate fondue dipped marshmallows and hot chocolate samples. On race day, runners will get the chance to run either a 15k or 5k course that takes them through the Seattle streets, and finishes with everyone’s favorite part, the finisher’s mug filled with hot chocolate, chocolate fondue and dippables.
The official charity partner of the Hot Chocolate 15k/5k Race Series is the Ronald McDonald House Charities, a program that provides a “home-away-from-home” for families and children facing a series medical issue.
