Welcome to Spring! Every May 1st come dance with us around the Maypole as we celebrate a pagan tradition celebrating the rites of fertility and Spring.

May Day Celebration and Potluck at Woodland Park (just off Aurora and 60th, next to the horseshoe courts). We take over the field at 5PM and weave the pole! Wear white and bring flowers, for head wreaths. Bring a dish to share, drink and good spirits. Pack out everything you bring. All are welcome.

A Green Man and May Queen will be picked from the crowd, and we will weave and dance around the May Pole. Sack races for the kids! Get lucky by jumping over a Beltane Fire (assuming you don’t burn your nether regions :-).

We are always on the lookout for volunteers to help out with this event. Volunteers needed to bring flowers; to help make flower crowns at the event, and to be friendly greeters. Help also needed setting up the potluck at the event. Seasoned May Day organizers from days of yore – please let us know if you’ll be there to help guide the festivities. Please visit our volunteer page for more info!
